My father-in-law says the belt should be changed every 50-60,000 miles. My dad says to change it when it's about to break. Is there a timeline or a time to change the belt regularly? Just eyeball your serpentine belt to determine if it needs to be changed. Check both sides for cracks, fraying on the edges, and stretching.
