Advice on when to change the cam belt on a peugeot 206?

Can anyone please advise me on when i should change the cam belt on my X reg (2000) peugeot 206? It's coming up to 54,000 on the clock and don't seem to able to find the definitive answer anywhere.Advice on when to change the cam belt on a peugeot 206?It depends on if it is an interference engine or not. I don't know your car but the reason is, if the belt breaks on a free wheeling engine, you need a tow is all. If the belt breaks on an interference engine you need a tow and maybe valves and pistons because of damage.

I just found this web page explanation of an interference engine and it's the best info I found.
